Steve Durfee
Director of Sales
I joined Lenex Steel because my outlook and experience in the steel industry
aligned with Lenex’s approach. I started out with a business degree from Indiana
University and then worked in accounting at International Steel. With experience
in sales at Hammerts Iron Works in St. Louis, Cives Steel in Georgia and Havens
Steel in Kansas City, I have a solid footing in the industry. I've also managed my
own 5,000 square foot retail golf store – so I do know how to juggle competing
priorities. At Lenex, I'll be responsible for executing our sales plans in the
Midwest, plains states and the Mid Atlantic – and for managing the Lenex
business development team.

Tammy Dean
Executive Assistant | HR
When you call Lenex, you will often talk to me first. In addition to supporting the preparation of proposals and working with our suppliers to gather information for bids, I also manage many aspects of the daily office operations. By scheduling and coordinating deliveries, I serve as the liaison between the project managers and the production team. My responsibilities also include overseeing Lenex’s marketing efforts from coordinating tradeshows to managing special events.
The variety each day brings makes my job both interesting and fun. I enjoy being a team player because each employee at Lenex has a deep sense of pride in the work we do for our clients.

Mandy Hanavan
Purchasing Director
Purchasing
Due to my ability to multi-task, I have now secured my PhD in 'Controlled Chaos!' I estimate and procure all material that we need from steel mills or warehouses. By thinking outside the box and moving material around creatively, I also help our projects stay under budget and provide the shops with the materials they need. I take pride in finding material quickly and in discovering cost effective solutions. Because of my relationships with our suppliers, I can better service our shops with material they need to continue production.

I process drawings and order material needed to fabricate the job. I'm very motivated to learn new and better ways to contribute wherever it may be needed so that I can better support our team. I'm glad that my organizational skills let me be part of the process that allows Lenex to get the job completed on time and as efficiently as possible.
