Indianapolis, IN (September 2, 2008): This month, Lenex Steel, an Indianapolis-based steel fabrication firm will celebrate the topping off of two major construction projects: Carmel City Center’s Phase One Development Project and St. Joseph’s Medical Center’s Medical Office Building project.
The Carmel City Center project broke ground in March 2007. Phase One includes 400,000 square feet of retail, residential and office space. The 8-story structure utilized 2200 tons of structural steel and included an underground parking garage as part of the building’s design. The project is scheduled to top off by the end of this month.
Lenex worked with Signature Construction and Pedcor Design Group in building the first of several structures that will complete the vision for the project.
The St Joseph’s Medical Center’s Medical Office building project is part of an overall $355 million dollar hospital project that will include a new hospital and multiple supporting structures on a 90-acre site in Mishawaka, Indiana. The Medical Office Building is a 4-story, $4 million component of the project. It utilized 1200 tons of structural steel and will include a partial basement with parking garage. It is scheduled to top off in early September.
