About This Project:
Steel fabrication project included 650,000 square foot expansion of the Indiana Convention Center has primary truss girders that typically spanned 90 feet and secondary trusses that typically spanned 240 feet. Built-up exposed steel box girders supported the roof above the pre-function area with steel hangers supporting parts of the second floor. The new main entrance for the Convention Center featured a 55 foot cantilevered roof, framed by built-up beams and built-up columns.
