Lenex receives structural steel in different lengths and sizes from its mill suppliers. Workers at the plant cut the steel to project specifications, drill and punch holes, and shop fabricators weld components to prepare the final product for shipment to the job site. The plant, the largest in the state, fabricates 30,000 tons of steel annually.
